Happy Feet (AgeUK Foot Service)

Happy Feet is a toenail cutting service for people aged 50+ in Lewisham and Southwark. We run clinics, which are usually monthly, in community settings such as Telegraph Hill Centre. Happy Feet is at Telegraph Hill Centre on the last Thursday of the month.

The service is not for profit, which means that the charge clients pay covers our cost to provide the appointment.

People usually need their nails cut every 2 – 3 months.

Clinics are run by the same worker (with the exception of annual leave and illness), which means that regular service users see the same Happy Feet worker, adding a befriending element to the service. Appointments are half an hour so everyone can take their time.

Fingernails can also be cut for a small additional charge.

If clients are diabetic or on blood thinning medication, we need consent from their GP before we can provide an appointment. We are unable to provide appointments to people on steroid medication or haemophiliacs. We manage all of the medical screening and appointment booking. If you would like to book an appointment or need further information, please contact us at happyfeet@ageuklands.org.uk or 020 7358 4077.
