Did you know that more than 1500 people a week use Telegraph Hill Centre?

The building is owned by St Catherine’s Church.   Proceeds from rentals of the main ground floor spaces subsidise social services which the Centre and St Catherine’s Church PCC believes are important.

St Catherine’s Church PCC’s Community Mission Fund ensures that there is also a stable funding stream to ensure the staffing cover which enables more than 1500 people a week to use the Centre.

This means that Telegraph Hill Centre can be run as a self-funding community organisation.

The Centre is used for a variety of activities including:

Paid for activities

  • Maths and English classes using the Kumon method
  • Yoga (several types), Ballet (for children and adults), Zumba, Tai Chi, Belly Dancing,  Massage and more
  • Classes which can help you develop posture and improve yr presentation, whether vocal or physical
  • A professional Drama club for children aged 8 to 18
  • Mandarin, Spanish and French classes
  • A Polish drama club for children
  • Numerous classes for toddlers and their parents or guardians covering everything from exercise to learning about nature
  • Nutritionists, psychotherapy, counselling and more

Free or subsidised services

  • Gamblers and Alcoholics Anonymous
  • The Lighthouse Social Club for people with mental health issues reintegrating into society
  • Branching Out, an open club for people wanting company and conversation (Thursdays) offering gentle exercise, food and conversation, art and crafts and more
  • Telegraph Hill Youth Club which works in partnership with Somerville Adventure Playground’s Youth Provision team
