Panto time!

Sep 3, 2014 | News

With summer’s last gasp still here, it’s hard to believe that we’ve started to think about Panto. But we must, oh yes we must.

  • Auditions for adult roles will take place on Tuesday 16th September at 7.30pm at Telegraph Hill Centre.   You must be over 16 to audition.   Rehearsals take place twice a week though there may be some extra rehearsals closer to performance time.   Performances will take place on 5th, 6th and 7th of December (with two shows on Saturday 6th). It’s quite a commitment, but it’s never boring.
  • Children’s roles and Chorus – anyone cast for these roles will become involved in early November once the Panto has taken shape and we will be in touch with those people who have already contacted us regarding this with a schedule laying out the time commitment and a proposed rota for discussion with parents/carers.

Panto is always a collaborative exercise, and this year is no exception.   We have a great team on board with a great script and are very grateful to Telegraph Hill Centre and St Catherine’s Church for their help in putting this show on.

  • We will need help putting on this show: Props, costumes, front of house, stage management, make up, set building, lighting, ushering … you name it, we have a need for it!  If you’d like to help out, please email Sanjit with details of what you can help with.

Funds from this year’s Panto will go towards Telegraph Hill Centre – a long standing champion of this community.   Find out more about Telegraph Hill Centre, what it does, how it is funded.

If you’d like to know what this year’s Panto will be – hold on to your hat …. all will be revealed in the next few weeks!
