It’s all go

It’s all go at Telegraph Hill Centre.   We’re in the throes of hosting numerous events as part of the 19th Telegraph Hill Festival.

The magically named Balearic Bunga Bunga Hat Party on Saturday 9th March will kick things off in style – it’s all good clean fun and rather more innocent than it sounds so why not come on down and get the Festival started in style?   Numerous events from the World on a Plate International Food Festival, Tea Dance and Hoppin’ on the Hill to a free BMI and nutrition check and First Steps in Philosophical Thought session will all take place at the Centre.   A really diverse mix of things.   You can get full details of what’s on during Telegraph Hill Festival and where from the Festival website and can book tickets using the Festival’s online booking service.

We also have the builders in.   More accurately, St James (the people who built St Catherine’s Place) have donated their time, labour and resources to getting the Centre’s craftroom fitted with double doors (which we’d already had made) and a new unisex disabled access toilet.   This makes the self-contained annexe to Telegraph Hill Centre a much more usable space.   We are grateful for St James efforts.   The new facilities – ahem – will be opened by the Mayor of Lewisham, Sir Steve Bullock, on 19th April 5.30pm, ‘cutting the ribbon’ at 6pm, light refreshments will be available.   So come on down, join us and our local Councillors and help us mark a milestone.
