Want to get involved?

Gardening, DIY, creative activities or helping manage Telegraph Hill Centre, there are lots of ways you can be involved.

Gardening

Telegraph Hill Centre needs help to transform an ugly caged area into a pleasant and practical garden. We planted the ‘seed’ in March 2012 with our plant swap.

We now need more volunteers to turn an unloved piece of land into a beautiful and productive space for community use and enjoyment.  To find out more please contact us

DIY

Have you run out of projects @ home?   Telegraph Hill Centre is 40 years old and needs constant care and attention.   We would love to recruit people who like DIY and could spare a couple of hours a week a month to do some general maintenance.

Ideally you will have experience of one or more trades e.g. carpentry, metal work, decorating, tiling, plumbing. If you are interested and able to help us, please contact us.

Millinery Tutor

The Hat Making class, which runs on Mondays from 1.30 to 4.30pm, needs a new tutor. We also need hat blocks and a working sewing machine.

The group has been running for 5+ years and the initial funding finished years ago. We need to find a new tutor for this group. Telegraph Hill Centre does not have the money to pay fees but would be happy to help the tutor apply for grant funding.

Telegraph Hill Centre Group Management Committee

Made up of 12 people, 6 nominees from the Parochial Church Council and 6 people from the wider committee via the AGM; this year’s AGM will be held on 24 November 11am to 12noon.

We always need people to put themselves forward. This year we particularly want to recruit people with financial, ICT & renewable energy expertise.

The Committee meets every six weeks currently on a Monday evening (7.30 – 9.30pm). If you are interested please contact us
