Garden Room talks

12.15 – 1.00 – Acupuncture – Alice Douglas / Sarah Haddon-Grant

A talk about what acupuncture is, how it works and the work we are doing at the Telegraph Hill Centre.

1.00 – 1.30 – Introduction to NLP Coaching – Amanda Salvara

Neuro Linguistic Programming – come and learn about what NLP coaching can offer and participate in an activity that will bring NLP alive for you. Information leaflets will be provided.

1.45 – 2.15 – Guilt Free ParentingSandra Singer

A taster session for parents to learn effective tools to respond to your child’s emotional storm and rekindle the joy in your relationship.

2.30 – 3.00 – Mailchimp emailing system – Anne Barrett

Mailchimp is used by many businesses and organisations to send news, marketing and other communications to their contacts. Come and hear what it is, an outline of how it works and what you can get for free! If you are a Mailchimp user already and have problems bring them along and we’ll try and solve them for you.

3.15 – 3.45- How to promote your organisation – Jane Rogers

Have people heard of your organisation? Do you want more people to know about it? If so, come along to find out how to use marketing and PR effectively to promote it. There are lots of things you can do cheaply or for free, so come and learn some useful tips! We will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Studio 3 Hub (Taster Sessions)

12.00 – 12.30 – Standing PilatesZoe Fairlamb

A short standing workout to release tension in your lower back, neck and shoulders. In 30 minutes we will mobilise your spine and shoulders and start to improve your posture, making you feel supple, energised and ready for the day! No previous Pilates experience required; you do not need to be wearing exercise clothes to participate.

12.45 – 1.15 – Creative Movement for Women – Jessica Haener

A taster session for women who wish to explore their body in movement through improvisation and floorwork technique. The session will be gently guided while encouraging own creative initiative.

1.30 – 2.00 – Mandala Vinyasa Yoga – Tessa Young

Mandala is a Sanskrit term meaning ‘circle’. A mandala inspired class which flows dynamically 360 degrees around the mat. Based on the 4 basis elements: fire, water, earth & air and connecting each element with a specific area of the body. Work on your strength and flexibility in a safe way, flowing intuitively and linking breath with movement, This can be a playful and creative class designed to leave you feeling energised and upbeat.

2.15 – 3.00 – Mindfulness – Sarah Hews

A mindfulness taster session, designed to introduce you to mindfulness through a guided meditation followed by discussion.

3.00– 4.00 – Feldenkrais – Maggy Burrowes & Yeu-Meng Chan

Learning to move with freedom and ease is not just about having mobile joints and flexible muscles; Awareness Through Movement is a process that focusses on learning to learn, expanding your self-awareness and your mental flexibility as well – come and try it out for yourself!

12.00 – 4.00 – Mini-obstacle course (Tough Mudder) – Angelo Tiago Barros / Jessica Haener / Morlai Sumah

This is training for a fundraising event for St Catherine’s church. Come and experience a mini obstacle course in the garden alongside ‘feats of strength’ and Leaderboard rankings.
