We recently received the very sad news that Jacqui Walker passed away on Saturday 3rd May 2014. Jacqui died of complications after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Jacqui was a good friend to Telegraph Hill Centre, serving on the Centre’s Management Committee, as well as being an active member of St Catherine’s Church congregation. In both capacities she excelled at bringing people together, winning trust and confidence with her wit, warmth and intelligence.
As an active member of the community she fought injustice wherever she saw it with reason, love and understanding.
Jacqui was a vibrant, intelligent, loving and beautiful woman. Our prayers, thoughts and practical support are with Tony, her husband, and their children.
Jacqui’s body will be brought back to London for the funeral on Friday 16 May, 9am at St Catherine’s Church. The burial will be at 11am at Brockley Cemetery. The reception following the funeral will take place at the Telegraph Hill Centre from 12.30-6pm.
