Amélie is an innocent abroad in Paris with her own sense of justice. She decides to help those around her and, by chance, discovers love.

‘Le fabuleaux destin d’Amelie Poulain’ follows the complex life of Amelie in Paris, from her cloistered life as a child in a dysfunctional family, where she develops an elaborate fantasy world to amuse and comfort herself, to her moving to a new apartment as a young woman. Liberated, she embarks on a life doing kindness’s to others, which lead her into all kinds of picaresque scrapes and adventures and, eventually to a happy ending where she finds love. The film is accompanied by a superb soundtrack by Yann Tierson and is a Parisian visual feast.
