Saturday 6th of March 4-6pm: Zine Making workshop lead by zine-maker, Ioana from Artizine(14-19 years old)

Are you aged 14-19 years old? Do you love making art and being creative? Do you want to find new and unique ways of expressing yourself? Then this workshop is for you!

Join us on the 6th of March for this FREE online youth workshop in which we will explore the wonderful world of zines!

So, what is a zine?

A zine is a creative self-made publication used to share messages, ideas, artwork and pretty much anything you can think of with the world. ‘Zine’ is short for ‘magazine’, and usually take the form of a small booklet full of creative things to express yourslef and engage the reader.

In this workshop, we will be focussing on making zines with the things you have around your house, so you will need to gather up as much paper, photos, stickers, pens, pencils, paints, packaging, magazines and comics as you can find, as well as a pair of scissors and a gluestick!

The workshop will be lead by expert zine-maker, Ioana from Artizine, supported by youth worker Stefan from Nomadic Youth and provided by The Telegraph Hill Centre.

What if I don’t have many art materials at home?

That’s okay! First of all, consider that so many things could become an art material and that if you’re thinking creatively, you could use all sorts to make a zine with. You could also order a zine-making kit from Artizine at a special discounted price of £11.50, by emailing artizineuk@gmail.com or DMing Artizine on Insta @artizineuk. To see what sort of things are in the kits, check out the pictures below:
